The Secret World of Santa Claus is a children's animated television show that originates from France. It is syndicated to several countries worldwide, including Teletoon in Canada, and is generally seen every December during the holiday season.

[edit] Synopsis
Each episode usually starts out showing Santa Claus preparing for Christmas and doing some Christmas-related activities at his workshop. Then two recurring villains (Gruzzlebeard and his partner) show up trying to foil Santa's plan and ruin the hopes of children. The two trolls usually end up actually finding themselves in a trap that they constructed themselves and the show usually ends showing that all of Santa's things end up turning out fine.

[edit] Santa Claus
Santa Claus is Father Christmas. He owns a big workshop in the North Pole with his three elves. He owns a sleigh with three reindeer. It is not clear how long he has been Santa Claus or how old he is but in the episode "The 12 Labours of Santa Claus" it is revealed that he has been Santa Claus for at least 100 years. He is always shown in the classic Santa outfit; A red suit, hat, pants and black boots.

Thorn
Thorn is a girl elf, the only girl and she is often very caring and kind. She always wants things to turn out best for Santa Claus; just like the other elves. Her powers ae becoming invisible and flying.
Gilfy
The Elf with the red cap is the probably the older or middle in age of the elves. He often is left at Santa's workshop when Santa goes on a mission. Powers unknown.
Jordy
The Younger Elf appears to be the youngest of the three and is the most playful. He enjoys having fun with Santa. His powers are changing in different shapes.

Balbo is a polar bear that is Santa's assistant. In one episode it is revealed that Santa found him when he got lost at sea on an iceberg from his parents. Santa found him and took him to his workshop. Balbo is often also very playful.
[edit] Gruzzlebeard
Gruzzlebeard is the main villain in the series and often tries to foil Santa's plan and ruin Christmas. He appears in almost every episode trying to foil Santa's plan. But in the end he often ends up stuck in his own trap. But yet he never gives up. He enjoys calling Santa a "red-suited sap". He is a troll.

Dudley is Gruzzlebeard's partner and always helps Gruzzlebeard with his traps. He sometimes though appears to be tired of Gruzzlebeard calling him names but yet follows him as his partner. He wears a grey toque. He is a troll.
[edit] The Reindeer
Three reindeer pull Santa's sleigh. One is Rudolph one is an old one and another is a talkative one. They always help Santa with his sleigh trip(They pull it). In one episode Rudolph becomes sick with a cold.

In each episode there is a one child(different in each episode) asking for some gift. Santa's job is to then make the gift or the child may have a problem and Santa comes to his help.
