The Setup was the second single to be released from the Obie Trice debut album, Cheers. The song features Nate Dogg on the chorus, and is produced by Dr. Dre & Mike Elizondo.

The Video is about Obie Trice being put 'under the spell' of a lady, who encourages him to steal a lot of money. Little does he realise, it's a set up and he gets shot in order for her to get the money. But as Karma would have it, she gets shot and the money gets stolen from her. The video ends with Obie getting up, being thankful for wearing a bulletproof vest.
Other then Obie Trice, the video features Nate Dogg and Mýa, with a brief cameos by members of D12 in the club, and Warren G at the Beginning.
