The Southern Review

The Southern Review is a literary journal published by LSU. It was co-founded in 1935 by three-time Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Robert Penn Warren, who served as U.S. Poet Laureate and wrote the classic novel All the King's Men, and renowned literary critic of the New Criticism school, Cleanth Brooks.
The journal consists of submitted written works of poetry, fiction, interviews, critical essays, book reviews, and excerpts from larger works. Emphasis is placed on contemporary works, specializing in the culture of the Southern United States and its history.
Since 2003, Bret Lott has served as editor.
