The Warehouse Gallery

The Warehouse Gallery is a new contemporary art center, on the endge of Armory Square. It is a non-profit organization linked to Syracuse University through the Coalition of Museum and Art Centers (CMAC).
It opened on April 29, 2006 with the Gluckman Mayner Architecture firm exhibit, organized by Executive Director of the CMAC, with the name of Bridge Gallery.
Gluckman Mayner Architecture firm, from NYC, was responsible for the re-design on the building, a plan executed by VIP Structures, a local firm.
In August 2006, under new director Astria Suparak, the gallery re-opened with the exhibit "CMAC: Roots of Collaboration".
Assistant Director Frank Olive was hired in September 2006. The first show of contemporary international work, curated by the director and installed by the assistant director, launched in November 2006 - "Faux Naturel".
