The World's Desire, (1890), a fantasy novel written by H. Rider Haggard and Andrew Lang, is the story of the hero, Odysseus after his return from his untold second journey. Odysseus returns to his home, Ithaca, ravaged by a plague, his wife Penelope seemingly slain. Odysseus then sets out on his last quest.
