The Wrath of God
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Wrath of God is an offbeat Western genre film released in 1972 and starring Robert Mitchum, Frank Langella, Rita Hayworth and Victor Buono. Alluding to the fact the film is untroubled by the need for any apparent consistency, film critic Roger Ebert describes it as "a simple, dashing tale told for sheer fun." [1] Although given only a tepid 5.5 rating by the film buffs on IMDB [2], it notable as the final picture for screen siren Hayworth who continued a long slide of her health thereafter. It is unfortunate the film was released the same year as Werner Herzog's acclaimed film Aguirre: The Wrath of God as the similarity of names cannot have helped its publicity efforts.
