"The class the stars fell on" is an expression used to describe the West Point class of 1915. Of the 164 graduates, 59 earned at least one star (attained the rank of general), the most of any class in the history of the United States Military Academy. Two reached the second highest rank, five-star General of the Army (General of the Armies is the highest). In addition, there were two four-star "full" generals, seven three-star lieutenant generals, 24 two-star major generals and 24 one-star brigadier generals.
The next best was the class of 1917, with 43 generals.
