A planned regional directory system that would provide a center of information about WikiProjects, regional notice boards, portals, naming conventions, requested photographs, stubs, multilingual coordination and local listings of Wikipedians for each country and territory. I've had positive feedback so far, now it needs finishing off.

Index of countries, territories and international organisations is complete. About 15% of countries and territories have entries, all using the standard template. United Kingdom and Germany need regional subdirectories. No international organisation entries.

Not that many lake articles remain to be translated from the .no wikipedia. I now have a source for the statistical and location data which I need to add. Want to expand table and color-code those lakes lying on the Finnish or Swedish borders.

Other stuff:

Sorting photo requests with categories: my proposal gained considerable support. There is now a series of templates, {{reqphotoin}} being the main one, to apply in article talk pages where photographs are required. I will, from time to time, be seen making use of this. A potential WikiProject in the future? On a similar vein, I am trying to find free image sources, searchable by locality, to add to {{US image sources}} and {{UK image sources}}, as well as to extend this system to other countries.
The "Spoken Wikipedia" project puts sound icons onto the top of articles, which allow you to download and listen to a recording. However, this isn't working well at the moment for articles for which the recording is split into multiple parts. I have tried to find a solution to this: see Template talk:Spoken Wikipedia. Comments and suggestions would be welcome.
There has been debate about alerts (possible "spamming") about RfA nominations, following User:ShortJason's RfA publicity campaign . I am trying to weigh up demand for an alternative proposal for a personalized opt-in alerts system: sign up here if interested.
Following an email from Jimbo Wales, there was an experiment here with a trust network, to provide a way of estimating the amount of trust that is placed in certain editors. The English Wikipedia system failed but the German equivalent, with a far superior technical system, has had some success. I have explained how the German system could be implemented here, with some suggested improvements, at . If there is enough support, I will turn this into a concrete proposal.

Want to get started: Wikipedia:WikiProject Lists - many of WP's lists need regular updating (many are only true "As of...") and maintenance (to keep them on top of new additions to categories). Lists have certain advantages over categories (especially in preventing over-categorization and dealing with subtle or controversial areas) and can also work well in tandem with a category system (providing extra information, and allowing red-links to appear that will be filled in in the future). This WikiProject may also be able to handle the "delete and listify!" demands that crop up at WP:CFD.
Need to write Zollverein Colliery: a World Heritage Site in Germany.
Want to write Echelsbach Bridge: once Germany's largest single-span reinforced concrete bridge... how interesting is that? :-)
