[edit] In regards to Tyrone McFarlin
Hello there. Thank you for forwarding the message Tyrone sent to you and thank you for not putting a block on the page listed under my name. Here's the skinny on Tyrone: This guy is no actor/producer/whatever he says he is. For literally years he has been running internet scams and "acting workshops" luring would-be actors into his scheme to take their money. I know because I was duped myself. I saw a post on Craigslist and got involved with a phone audition scheme he had going at the beginning of 2006. Long story short, I went to Atlanta, GA for a live audition and then got called back because I had supposedly received a "lead role." Thankfully, I never signed anything or paid any money (I had a feeling it was fishy from the moment I got there). I started talking to others from that audition and the more I found out, the more I knew it was all a set up. He had been signing people up for workshops and seminars prior to the live auditions (at $35-40 a piece if I remember correctly), telling them they had parts in his reality show and/or upcoming film, and then never calling them back. After I found out what was going on, I started posting on several of the Craigslist pages where he had posted audition notices warning people of what he was up to. He was obviously not pleased by my actions. He started sending me email threats and posting that I was a hacker and that I was just attacking him because I didn't get picked for a part in his so-called film. He even had one of his people pretend to be an officer of the Chicago police (because I guess he lost my resume, remembered I was from IL and thought I must live in or near Chicago) who told me Tyrone had told him to tell me to take down all postings from Craigslist and cease from any further defamation of character. For a while I didn't see anything on Craigslist and thought he had stopped doing what he was doing but then recently he has resurfaced with a new "film project" called Skool Drama he is supposedly casting for. He even made a "trailer" and "testimonial videos" to further fool people into thinking he and his projects are the real deal. (The videos are at his YouTube profile here: http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=ubettercalltyrone) Tyrone really goes out of his way to dupe actors any way he can. He has a fake production company called "Alpha and Omega Pictures" and his own official website with all kinds of phony info on his upcoming auditions and bogus crap about his workshops. (his site: http://www.superiortalentagency.net/) He also continuously claims to have worked with the WB/CW, BET, UPN, FOX, and have contacts throughout the industry. I have contacted the CW, FOX, and other agencies he has claimed ties with and they have never heard of him or his projects.
I apologize for sending such a long message but I've put up with quite a lot of deflamatory and degrading statements from Tyrone and I continue to see his postings on Craigslist and elsewhere. The message he sent you was one of the literal hundreds of deflamatory postings he has spread about me throughout the internet so that he can keep scamming people and keep them from finding out who he really is and what he does. Tyrone wants to be famous so bad he will do anything to achieve it and has gone to extreme lengths to pull the wool over literall hundreds of up-and-coming actors' eyes'.
I kept all the emails that were sent to me while going through the audition process in 2006 and will submit them to you if you need them for evidence.
If you need to contact me directly, please do so via my email: eyebhdr@yahoo.com or call me: 618-315-5328.
