Thirsk railway station lies on the East Coast Main Line. It serves the town of Thirsk in North Yorkshire, although the station is about 1.5 miles outside the town centre. There are four tracks all with platforms, however the centre pair of platforms facing the fast lines are fenced off and out of use. The railway station is operated by TransPennine Express.
In May 2007, it is expected that this station will be served by a new company called Grand Central.
