Here is a bit of background on the reason for the article.

The subject of the piece, Thomas-Jacques Taschereau, is the patriarch of a famous French Canadian family which is why I posted this stub. I did a number of the family as part of a project known as the DoCB Initiative. As with all articles I have started, I really hope someone comes along and improves it. Cheers! As discussed, it would really help if the beginning of the article, rather than just the talk page, set out the notability more clearly. Mentioning the DOCB thing would be good too. Good work Deizio 00:09, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
