Thornham, Greater Manchester

Thornham is a small district overlapping both Royton and Rochdale in Greater Manchester, England.
The area is found at the boarder of both the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham and the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale along Oldham Road.
Thornham was formally known as Gravel Hole, due to its mass pits of gravel. To this day, most maps still refer to Thornham as this name.
Thornham is served by Thornham St. James CofE Primary School, which lies within the borders of Royton and is administrated by Oldham L.E.A.
