Thud Ridge
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Thud Ridge is a book by Jack Broughton which is one of the most noted about flying the F-105 Thunderchief for the U.S. Air Force in the Vietnam War in Operation Rolling Thunder. [1] Thud Ridge is also a nickname given by F-105 pilots to a mountain range which was a waypoint on the way to attacking the city of Hanoi in North Vietnam.
The book is based on Operation Rolling Thunder, tactics and problems encountered in the air war against North Vietnam in 1965 and the following years. The movie Flight of the Intruder covered similar topics.
