Tim Pickup

Tim Pickup (born in Sydney, Australia) was a rugby league player for the North Sydney Bears, Canterbury Bulldogs, New South Wales and for the Australian national side.
He played two Tests against New Zealand in 1972 partnering Tommy Raudonikis in the halves, a combination which was regularly considered by selectors over the next two seasons.
Pickup then toured with the 1973 Kangaroos and played in 4 Tests and 14 tour matches. He generally played at Five-eighth, though he was selected at Halfback in the 2nd Test against France. At the time of his international career league Immortal Bob Fulton was playing for Australia in the centres. During the 1973 Tour Fulton played 3 tests at five-eighth and gained a stranglehold on the representative position till 1978. Pickup did not represent again.
