Time of Orchids
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Time of Orchids is a NYC-based Avant-Rock band founded in 1999.
Their current sound is often characterized by an edgy, angular tonality, and unexpected changes in rhythm and dynamics.
Two of the band's albums feature renowned female vocalists. Kate Pierson (of The B-52's) performs on "Too Much Fun" while Julee Cruise (of Twin Peaks fame) sings on "Sarcast While".
Their most recent album, '"Sarcast While"' was released on John Zorn's Tzadik record label.
