The statue of Valluvar has some problems in it. I have sent an e-mail to dmk.org about this too. My Observations are:
1. The statue has a posture that of a woman. This should be removed. Look at the pictures of Kalaiger or Annathurai in the dmk.org web site. They are man like.
2. The dress worn by Valluvar does not look like a Tamil man's dress. The vEtti (dhoti) is worn in the north indian way. Again look at the pictures of Kalaigar or Anna to see how the vEtti is dressed.
These should be corrected in displaying the Tamil Idle the Thiruvalluvar.
