Todos los Santos Lake is located in the Chilean Lake District, 96 km northeast of Puerto Montt and 76 km east of Puerto Varas, within the boundaries of the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park. It is one of the most awesome lakes in Chile and also is known as Lago Esmeralda (Emerald Lake), due to the deep emerald-green colour of its water. The lake is enclosed by majestic snow-capped volcanoes and has two lake ports: Petrohué and Peulla. It has a surface area of 178.5 km² and a maximum depth of 337 m.[1] The Petrohué River drains the lake into Reloncaví Estuary. The present form of the lake is the result of glacial and volcanic processes.[2][1]
