Tody Smith (born December 24, 1948, in Orange, TX, died 1999) was an American football defensive lineman.

Smith was a prep All-American at Charlton-Pollard High in Beaumont, Texas.

He played college football at USC as a defensive tackle.
[edit] Professional Career
Smith played in the National Football League from 1971 until 1976 with the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Oilers, and Buffalo Bills. He played in Super Bowl VI in 1972 while he was a member of the Dallas Cowboys.

He died in his sleep at his home in Los Angeles in 1999. Tody Smith's brother is actor and former NFL Pro Bowler Bubba Smith .
