Toilet Boys
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Toilet Boys is an American band. It was not formed as a backing band for Deborah Harry as it is commonly believed. Rather, the Toilet Boys formed in 1995 and the first show was as opening act for a performance by Deborah Harry, who performed with her own band at the rock club, Don Hill's, in NYC. Toilet Boys lead singer, Guy (who was house-DJ at the club), was inspired to form a band and fulfill his dream of opening for Harry, one of his most beloved idols, even if just for one night. He put together a band specifically for this occasion and it was only intended to be a one-time performance. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with the result being the booking of Toilet Boys for several additional gigs. These performances led to demand for further performances.
Within a year and a half the Toilet Boys line-up had solidifed into the permanent, 'classic' line-up, under which they gained worldwide notoriety:
- Guy - Lead Vocals
- Sean Pierce - Guitar
- Rocket - Guitar
- Adam Vomit - Bass
- Electric Eddie - Drums
