Tom Can't Fly

Tom Can't Fly are a Pop Punk band from Northampton in the UK, starting in the summer of 2003 as a Ska Punk outfit. Consisting of Steve, Pete and Stu, the band evolved over the following years into their current lineup of Pete, Stu, Olli and Adam.

[edit] Current Members:
Peter Clarke. A twin from Northampton, Pete has been with the band since it started, having been firm friends with original guitarist Steve Groves-Kirkby. Pete plays the bass guitar and is mainly responsible for arranging the band's gigs and touring.
Stuart McGregor. Stu has been the band's drummer since it formed. However, he has not always drummed live and has been replaced by Henry Taylor on at least one occasion
Adam Christie. Adam joined the band in December 2005 as the new lead guitarist, allowing Steve to concentrate on his vocal work and writing.
Ollie Russell-Pearcy. Ollie joined the band in early May 2006, taking over the vocal work from Steve. Oli was formally lead singer/guitarist for another succesful local band, who had just split up.

Steve Groves-Kirkby. Founder member of the band, who left in October 2006 after a conflict of interests within the band. Steve played lead guitar and sang, and he was also responsible for the bulk of the writing of the bands work.

Henry Taylor. Formerly drummer with Forever Endeavour, local drummer and friend of the band, Henry filled in for Stu when he was absent during their real gig in Summer 2005.

The Art of Complaining - 2005 Early release from the original line up, showing their talent early, with classics "Weeks Gone Bye" and "Drag Me Down".
Coming Around - 2006 The latest release, with the present line-up plus Steve, featuring a much evolved sound, that complements the band's talents. The release includes MyScene, a pop at myspace and the contempory music scene, and Our Time, a song previously known as Fat Rash, which lead singer Ollie constantly dedicates to the band's friend Podge when played live.
