Tomas Baranauskas

Tomas Baranauskas (born on September 12, 1973) - Lithuanian historian specializing in history of Medieval Lithuania, the author of the book "The Formation of the Lithuanian State".

Born at Kaunas, lived and studied in Žeimelis and Anykščiai.
In 1998 graduated History Faculty at the Vilnius University.
Since September 1996 is working in the Lithuanian Institute of History and administering its web-site www.istorija.lt (since March 2003).
In the end of May, 2000, published a book 'The Formation of the Lithuanian State' ("Lietuvos valstybės ištakos").
Since June 22, 2000 maintains the largest site on the medieval history of Lithuania on the Internet - "Medieval Lithuania".
