Tomcat Alley is a full motion video game for the Sega CD that was the first Sega CD game to have full-screen motion video. It was later released with higher quality video for Windows-based PCs.
The player controlled a United States Navy pilot who had to bring peace and stability to the world after the former Soviet Union had foolishly sold its military equipment to an unfriendly government. The game was in first-person perspective, and the player had to move quickly to launch missiles at enemy aircraft. Targeting enemies with the D-pad and a F-14 HUD screen brought this game outstanding reviews from critics.[citation needed]
One little known "Easter Egg" is that if this game is played on a standard CD player, the disc will play a phrase that sounds like "Gay monkeys, gay monkeys, gay monkeys..." going first really slowly and then progressively going faster.
