Tony O'Shea (Stockport, May 9, 1961) is an English darts player who competes for the British Darts Organisation. Due to his squat figure, he's nicknamed Silverback.
O'Shea has reached three Grand Slam finals in the past few years (2002 at the World Darts Trophy vs Tony David 0-6, 2004 at the Winmau World Masters vs Mervyn King 6-7 and in 2005 at the International Darts League vs Mervyn King 11-13) but haven't won one jet.
In 2002 his made his debut at the BDO World Professional Darts Championship with a narrow lose against Colin Monk (3-2). Two years thereafter he reached the semi-finals after a winning strike defeating Gary Anderson, Gary Robson and Ted Hankey before he eventually went out against Mervyn King (5-1).
At the 2004 World Darts Championship he reached the quarter finals. This year's opponent's performence at Lakeside Country Club, Martin Adams with an 100.68 average, was too high for O'Shea, who himself averaged 94.32, to gain a place in the second round.
