This may be ambitious, but I think that each of these nicknames should reference at least one non-blog source if they are going to remain on this list. I've added references for a couple of them, but the list is long and quite frankly i've never heard most of these used, despite living in and around the city for twenty five years. I added a reference to The Junction in the "Hogtown" nickname section, since on that page, it is stated that the Hogtown name originated in the stockyards of that neighbourhood.--Stetson 05:56, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

Is this exactly accurate? Isn't it more like To-ron-to when speaking french, and Traunno when speaking english, similiar to the Pair - ee & Pear-ess split, for example? I definitely pronounce a second T when speaking french but only a single T when speaking english. WilyD 19:40, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
