Towboat and mixed cargo barges on the Yangtze River (Chang Jiang) in the flatlands above Wuhan. Photo taken late September 2002 by User:Leonard G.. Note the newly manufactured transport vehicles being carried atop bulk cargo. Several times along this river we saw new white trucks being carried upstream, while new blue trucks from a different manufacture were being brought downstream from a factory in Chongqing - quite unlike North America, where a great variety of colors are available from different manufacturers.
In China the taxicabs will be different colors from city to city, but (if licensed) all the same color. In major cities tourists are warned to be beware of the "black cabs" as these are unlicensed and unmetered.
