Toys in the Attic is the third album by American hard rock band Aerosmith. It was their breakthrough album and is now considered a firm rock classic. The title is a phrase which has a similar meaning to "bats in the belfry" and was also used as the title of Lillian Hellman's 1959 stage play.
In 2003, the album was ranked number 228 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.The song "Toys in the Attic" is part of the The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll list.[1]

R.E.M. covered the song "Toys in the Attic" released in 1986 as a b-side to "Fall on Me". It is available on Dead Letter Office. It was also covered by The Answer, Warrant and Ratt.
