[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:BandQ.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:BandQ.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you have questions about copyright tagging of images, post on Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags or User talk:Carnildo/images. 15:44, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] B&Q confusion

I noticed that here you deleted a comment from the Home Depot article about B&Q not being related. They are in fact not related at all, despite the similarities, so I've added additional language to remove the confusion entirely. See also my comments on the Talk:The_Home_Depot page. Also, when you make such changes please be sure to fill in the "edit summary" field, especially when you think you are fixing a factual inaccuracy. That allows others to more easily notice and make a greater effort to validate the change. -- Bovineone 07:06, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bill Hicks pic retouched

Hi Tr, if you could upload the improved Bill Hicks pic here Putfile.com then I can copy-paste it & that would be better for me.
[Wiki's putfile info]
I'm reluctant to put my email address on public display, what with all the nuts and spammers and spamming nutters, etc. It's a very handy service they offer 100%, I'd rec signing up. (25mb of upload space per member.. upload pics, audio and video) cheers Dirk Diggler Jnr 02:36, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Monkey Island and 'original research'

Please see my discussion in the talk page of Monkey Island series about if references of PotC should be mentioned. I'd like your input.

[edit] License tagging for Image:Llandudno.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:Llandudno.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 21:06, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:Ozlondon.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Ozlondon.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Hi TR. It's a nice image, but it's going to be deleted very soon unless you can provide information to demonstrate that it's not a copyright infringement. Where did it come from? I see from the discussion above that several images you've posted have been tagged as possible copyright infringements; if you need any help on what you need to do, or on what's allowable or what's not, please feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Regards. --MichaelMaggs 11:12, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:Frank.jpeg

Thanks for uploading Image:Frank.jpeg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Hey, I'm not a bot, and also came here concerned about Frank's licensing. It's a great picture, but "used with permission" is not sufficient to be kept, and may in fact conflict with the GFDL. It'd be a shame to have to delete the image, so if you can provide information on its source that would be great. LWizard @ 01:54, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Ozlondon.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Ozlondon.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. MECUtalk 03:37, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Where is Reebok Stadium?

Where did you get your OFFICIAL information about Reebok Stadium in Lostock?
The Middlebrook site is situated either side of the boundary between Horwich and Lostock. Reebok Stadium is just on the Lostock side of the boundary, however, the Royal Mail gives the OFFICIAL address as:

Bolton Wanderers Football Club
Reebok Stadium
Burnden Way
Horwich
Bolton
BL6 6JW

Before anying was built there, the site was farmland for Sefton Fold Farm in Horwich, which stretched over into Lostock.
Take a look the modern maps at http://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/oswebsite/, and type BL6 6JW (Reebok Stadium) and zoom in, you'll find the plain dotted line (just north of the stadium) shows the Horwich/Lostock boundary which runs through Middlebrook. (Don't look at the green lines, they're footpaths).
Or have a look at Lostock's old township boundaries http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/LAN/Lostock/ParishMap.shtml which shows the real Lostock that stretches over to Regent Road and Chew Moor.
You might also notice that the the Beehive/Alexandra Rd/Fall Birth Rd area is in Horwich, but the Royal Mail puts that area as in Lostock.
So it works out that the Royal Mail puts Reebok Stadium, postally, in Horwich, yet part of Horwich is put, postally, in Lostock.
No wonder that people are confused. Cwb61 20:30, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Pete Burns

He looks horrific? Hmm. That is a matter of opinion, judging by the deadoralive.net forums. They're crazy.80.43.72.100 21:40, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

Well if they're fans of his, they'll be biased wont they? I think he looks horrible now, like a cheap mutilated drag queen. TR_Wolf

Apart from on some of the re-touched pictures.

Couldnt you just of added that under discussion, instead of editing my page (You're really mistaken about M&S uniforms and temp staff.).
