Talk:Transportation in Portland, Oregon
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Should this be Transportation in Portland, Oregon? That's the category name. Also, both mention things outside of the actual city (but in the metro area)--Jason McHuff 04:51, 13 September 2005 (UTC) What about Troutdale Airport? Its a Portland airport far more than McNary is. --Jason McHuff 06:05, 13 September 2005 (UTC)
agreed; i think troutdale should be included there. i might just go add it. i think mcnary was put in like it was because (apparently) it is considered for offloading pdx air traffic or something. doesnt mean troutdale should be left off though. i should dig up some info on the seaport as well, that should get mention! [edit] History
What about an historical section. Portland once had the most extensive commuter rail system in the western U.S. The Sellwood neighborhood was specifically built as a working-class neighborhood because with rail, people could get from there to the SE industrial area to work.
I think this is an important topic. Any discussion? Cranialsodomy 23:41, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
- Agreed. Disucssion of Crown Point or whatever it's called would be cool too. Viper007Bond 04:39, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
