Track & Field News
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Track & Field News, the magazine, was founded in 1948 by brothers Bert Nelson & Cordner Nelson.
The magazine provides coverage of athletics in the U.S.A. from the high school to national level and all international events. The magazine has the motto of "The Bible of the Sport" which is justified by the world rankings they produce each year.
The rankings are generally accepted as an authoritative work despite the subjective nature of such lists. Each year the rankings are coordinated by the magazine's editor along with an international team of experts. Current members of the rankings team are R.L. Quercetani, Nejat Kök, Dave Johnson, Richard Hymans and Jonathan Berenbom.
