The Trail Smoke Eaters are a Tier II Junior "A" ice hockey team from Trail, British Columbia, Canada. They are a part of the British Columbia Hockey League. The Smoke Eaters have existed since the 1920s and won the 1944 Memorial Cup and two Allan Cups -- 1938 and 1962. The team also won two Ice Hockey World Championships playing for Canada in 1939 and 1961. The current Smoke Eaters were originally based in Chilliwack, British Columbia and were formed in 1987. After stops in Ladner, British Columbia and Bellingham, Washington, the team moved to Trail in 1995.
