As of 2006, bus services are a common method of transportation to one's routine, apart from the service (IPA: surveess) and the taxi.
The O.C.F.T.C ("Office des Chemins de Fer et des Transports en Commun", French for Railway and Public Transportation Authority) is the Lebanese government authority which operates public transportation in Lebanon. However, its main competitor is the privately owned and operated Lebanese Commuting Company (LCC) which operates a fleet of red and white colored buses, mostly minibuses. It's service and efficiency is regarded to be better than the OCFTC and thus it charges slightly higher fares.

As of 2005, there is one operating international and two agricultural airports in Lebanon. The Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut is the only commercial airport in the country.
