Hi, I'm Stephanie, or just Steph. I hang out on IRC under the nickname Triona or Caitriona.
I help with RC patrolling, and try to clean up articles when I can.
In real life, I'm an unemployed geek living in Eastern North Carolina.
When I have money, I spend way too much time playing laser tag, Soul Calibur 2, DDR, as well as various first person shooters, and performing as part of a Rocky Horror Picture Show shadow cast in Raleigh, NC.
I also enjoy kayaking, hiking, and traveling, own two beautiful dogs, and am owned by 3 cats.

[edit] Good faith has its limits
While I like to assume good faith, I frequently see many cases where there's simply no way that the evidence will support such an assumption - repeated blanking of pages, adding obscenities to pages, etc - still, as a general rule, if something could be good faith, I try to look at it that way.
Some things that I have trouble believing are good faith include:
- Page blanking by someone who's never edited before, with no edit summary, particularly to controversial topics.
- Insertion of obscenities, profanity, and personal attacks on pages.
- Repeated page blanking.
- Any harmful action that persists after a warning - I'm sorry, hard to have any belief that someone's acting in good faith after they've gotten 20 warnings and chosen to ignore them.

I hold a number of strong beliefs, which I try not to let affect my editing, but I list them here to help make any bias more apparent both to myself and to others.
Political
- I believe that political parties are harmful to democracy - they serve to polarize the political process in ways that often defy common sense and reasoning. For that reason, I consider myself to be politically unaffiliated.
- I believe that it is the duty and sovereign right of every citizen to vote.
Religious
- I consider myself to be a Christian
Social
- Abortion - As a general rule, I am against abortions, although I'm also opposed to most government activities to restrict abortions. I don't think that pro-choice and pro-life have to be mutually exclusive.
- GBLT rights - As a transgendered woman, these issues are very important to me, and NPOV will be something that I have to work carefully for whenever editing any related articles.
