TruTac Ltd are a Tachograph analysis company based at the University of Warwick Science Park in Coventry in the United Kingdom.
TruTac where founded in 1994 as a Tachograph analysis bureau and have provided Tachograph analysis reporting software systems known as TruControl to the road haulage industry since 1998.
TruTac, as a company aim to provide integrated digital/analogue tachograph analysis within 48 hours of the end of a driver's duty[1].

[edit] TruControl
TruControl is TruTac Ltd's main product. It is reporting software that can analyse both analogue tachograph and digital tachograph data. TruControl reads analogue tachographs with scanners, the chart images are then sent electronically to and analysed by TruTac, the analysis data is then sent back into the users TruControl software. Digital data is read automatically by the card and vehicle readers and analysed within the software itself. All data is stored within the same database allowing for integrated reporting.
TruControl is available in two specifications. TruControl and TruControl Lite.
TruControl Lite provides reports that shows if HGV drivers are complying to driving legislation, as such it is primarily a tool that allows employers to ensure driver conformity.
TruControl Full provides all the reporting capability of TruControl Lite but allows for comprehensive managerial reporting as well, highlighting key performance indicators and site trend reports.

TruBureau traditionally has been the basic postal service that TruTac offer for analogue tachograph analysis. However following on from the success of TruControl, TruTac launched an updated TruBureau service in 2006. Utilising the same scanning and digital reading technology found in TruControl it offers conformity reporting via an internet reporting module that can be used at the customers discretion.
