True Blue (play)

True Blue (2005) is a one-act play by Benjamin T. George. It premiered Off-Broadway at the Riant Theatre's Strawberry One-Act Festial in New York in August 2005 at the Producer's Club II Theatre. It ran for four weekends and was subsequently published in the The Best Plays From The Strawberry One-Act Festival - Volume 3. It is currently being produced in Los Angeles.
Synopsis: Two families, one American, one Iraqi, must deal with the horrors of war. Their lives converge along similar paths towards ultimate destruction. Who is to blame for their suffering: their choices or their circumstances?
True Blue follows Will, an American, as he fights in Iraq and is eventually captured by the father of the Iraqi family. Meanwhile at home in America, Susan, Will’s sister, is having problems adjusting to her brother’s absence. The two stories are seen simultaneously and converge in a tragic ending.
