Tuni is a town(mandal) and a municipality in East Godavari district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.
Tuni is a marketing centre for more than forty surrounding villages. Sunday is (Santha)maket fare day. Known for mangoes export. Nearly 250 varieties of mangoes are available here and are also exported . A light house for ships in sea cost village Penthakota is11.5 km.away .District head quarters name is Kakinada 64 km.
Tuni is a 18 km drive from Annavaram, a sacred place of Lord satyanarayana swamy, or approximately half way between the two cities of Rajahmundry and the port city of Visakhapatnam. It is well connected with railways and with the National Highway #5 passing through it.It is famous for the betel leaves grown in and around the place.
Politically, the Tuni constituency has been a stronghold of the regional party, the Telugu Desam Party, for near two decades.
