TVE1 referred to as La Primera or 'The First' in Spain is a television channel operated by Spanish national broadcaster TVE. Its offering is varied, including a mix of news, documentaries, entertainment and discussion-based programmes. Also, the government of Spain has two public television stations TVE1, and TVE2 this last called "La Dos / The Two" or "La segunda / The Second".
Advertising provides TVE with revenue to run the channel.
