[edit] New Mathematics Wikiportal
I noticed you've done some work on Mathematics articles. I wanted to point out to you the new Mathematics Wikiportal- more specifically, to the Mathematics Collaboration of the Week page. I'm looking for any math-related stubs or non-existant articles that you would like to see on Wikipedia. Additionally, I wondered if you'd be willing to help out on some of the Collaboration of the Week pages.
I encourage you to vote on the current Collaboration of the Week, because I'm very interested in which articles you think need to be written or added to, and because I understand that I cannot do the enormous amount of work required on some of the Math stubs alone. I'm asking for your help, and also your critiques on the way the portal is set up.
Please direct all comments to my user-talk page, the Math Wikiportal talk page, or the Math Collaboration of the Week talk page. Thanks a lot for your support! ral315 02:54, Feb 11, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Radio controlled airplaine
Hi; sorry for deleting radio controlled airplane after you had edited it, but it was a tautological substub and I felt it was speedy-able. Call me an evil deletionist, but I don't like content-free articles. Hope you weren't put off by it. :) -- Hadal 03:53, 6 Mar 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Hewlett Packard
Although HP has Operational facilities in Oregon as well as in many other US and non-US locations, the company is considered to be based in Palo Alto California. Please reconsider your catagorization of HP as being a company based in Oregon. hydnjo talk 14:00, 6 Mar 2005 (UTC)
[edit] VfD
I myself thought about that. Thanks for the tip, I will keep your suggestion in mind. --Ryan! | Talk 23:50, Mar 10, 2005 (UTC)
- PS. I had a real VfD binge, didn't I?? :P
[edit] New Mathematics Project Participants List
Hi Tygar.
In case you didn't follow the discussion on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Mathematics here: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Mathematics#Reformat of Participants list, I'm writing to you to let you know that I've converted the "WikiProject Mathematics Participants List" into a table. It is now alphabetical, includes links to the participant's talk page and contribution list, and has a field for "Areas of Interest". Since your name is on the list, I thought you might want to check and/or update your entry.

[edit] Proof Techniques
Hi Tygar. Just a couple of remarks about style. On Wikipedia, according to the Manual of Style, you don't put capital letters in section headings. That is, something like
==Technique #1: Deductive Proof==
should be written as
==Technique #1: deductive proof==
Also, it is not the best style to have a lot of text as a single image. PNG images should be used sparingly, only for big formulas. I would suggest you change some things in Proof Techniques. Thanks a lot. By the way, I will rename that one to Proof techniques, to again, put it in Wikipedia style. Cheers, Oleg Alexandrov 03:27, 9 Apr 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Proof techniques
Why did you mark this for speedy delete? Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 18:09, 14 Apr 2005 (UTC)
- I would guess Tygar was upset that Michael Hardy said the article is of bad quality (see the talk page of that article). I would challenge Tygar to improve on the article, in cooperation with Michael. Oleg Alexandrov 18:22, 14 Apr 2005 (UTC)
