Type 88 Surface-to-Ship Missile (88式地対艦誘導弾, SSM-1) is a surface-to-ship missile developed in Japan.
SSM-1 is an improved and land launched version of ASM-1. JSDF develop two variant, air launch missile (ASM-1C) and ship launch missile (SSM-1B).
The basic configuration is same launcher vehicles and loader veheicles (6 SSM-1), some rader vheicles, fire control systems, and a command control system. Usually, SSM-1 is launched from less than 100km inland from the seashore.
