Leipzig Hauptbahnhof (Leipzig central train station)
- Leipzig central train station with its large track field
- in front on the right a park with a pool (Schwanenteich), in front of the park the roof of the opera house (Oper)
- on the right the high rise building Wintergartenhochhaus with the sign of Mustermesse (Leipzig fair), behind it the tracks to Engelsdorf – Riesa – Dresden (first German trunk line) and Stötteritz – Markkleeberg – Altenburg – Hof
- the tracks to the north lead to Dessau – Bitterfeld and Torgau – Falkenberg (Elster)
- the line to the left leads to Halle and Plagwitz
- on the left behind the station an old goods station (Freiladebahnhof), behind it the unused gas holder Gasometer Nord
