U.S. Route 11E is one of two routes carrying U.S. Route 11 between Knoxville, Tennessee and Bristol, Virginia. The other is U.S. Route 11W. From 1926 to 1929, it was U.S. Route 511. The southern terminus is U.S. Route 11, U.S. Route 70, U.S. Route 11W, U.S. Route 25W, Tennessee Route 1, and Tennessee Route 9 in Knoxville, Tennessee. The northern terminus is U.S. Route 11, U.S. Route 19, U.S. Route 11W, U.S. Route 421, and Virginia Route 381 in Bristol, Virginia.
