U.S. Route 122 (US 122) was used to designate two separate routes at different times:
- From 1926 to 1934, US 122 ran from Wilmington, Delaware to Haverstraw, New York, after which the designation was expanded and changed to U.S. Route 202.
- From 1935 to 1963 the route was commissioned solely in Pennsylvania, running from Northumberland to Oxford, replacing US 120 from Reading to Sunbury and PA 42 from Reading to Oxford. In 1956, the eastern portion of the route was scaled back to Morgantown. In 1963, the route was reassigned to PA 61 from Sunbury to Reading and PA 10 from Reading to Morgantown.
