Udhaya (Vijay) and Vasanthi (Simran) are collegemates and they fall in love. But soon he comes to know that she is engaged to be married. After he moves to Chennai and finds a job as a reporter at a magazine. He tries to fight for social change. One day Udhaya is arrested for a crime which he is not responsible. The movie is about how Vasanthi fights to prove his innocence and to get him out of the bars.

- A classic Disaster. The film did not get an opening. It was removed after just 1 week of exhibition.
- The Producer of the movie was on the verge of Suicide. The Movie was a Financial Nightmare.
- Even the hero Vijay abandoned the film and refused to promote it. Instead he released his big-budget film Ghilli within a couple of weeks of release of this film
