Category talk:UFOs
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Can we create a category called category:UFO based faith groups. I think that a category "UFO cults" would be a more generally accepted name outside of Wikipedia, but not allowed here because of the pejorative connotation of the word cult reasons. Andries 18:24, 6 November 2005 (UTC)
- Ugg. My first response is NO NO NO--we already give enormous space to so much dubious shit (sorry) regarding UFOs. What does the suggested cat distinguish between? People who sort of believe it and people who really do? That said, I am a "respecter of cats". If you can give a fuller answer as to why some of these articles could be included under a more specific heading, OK. Marskell 00:04, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Need sub cats
We need to make some sub-categories, I'm not sure what the name is for people who study UFOs, "UFO researchers" maybe. Martin 19:13, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
- The appropriate term is ufologists, who currently form one of the two main pillars of the anomalistic sciences (the other being cryptozoologists). I concur on the need for sub-categories, since some of these should go under UFO sightings, others under Ufologists, and so forth. --Chr.K. 19:45, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Merge UFO Category
- Can we merge the UFO category with this UFOs category? -nima baghaei 16:48, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
