Ultra 5/10
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Ultra 5 and Ultra 10 were 64-bit Sun Microsystems computer workstations based around the UltraSPARC microprocessor line.
The two machines were identical except for the physical enclosure - the Ultra 5 was a desktop, "pizzabox" machine, while the Ultra 10 is a midi tower machine. These systems were notable for being the first in the Sun workstation line to introduce various commodity PC compatible hardware components such as ATA hard disks and an ATI Mach64 video chip.
The processor ran at 270, 300, 333, 360 or 400 MHz, depending on model.
The Ultra 10 added room for a second ATA hard disk, and for a UPA graphics card such as the Creator or the Creator3D.
