The 2006 freshman class is small, with just over 80 students. The students of UIC are made up of mainly Korean students with diverse backgrounds. Nearly all students have lived and studied abroad at some time in their school life. There are a few foreign students, with more expected to join from the 2006 fall semester onwards.
The faculty body is composed mainly of existing Yonsei University professors. There is one permanent UIC professor, with three more joining in the 2006 fall semester. The Dean of UIC is Professor Jongryn Mo, and the Assistant Deans are Professor Hyungji Park and Professor Michael Kim.
Distinguished Visiting Faculty seminars are held regularly. Many notable Nobel Prize winning professors have held intensive two-week courses at UIC, including Kurt Wüthrich.
[edit] Extracurricular Activities
As an upstart program, there are not many clubs or extracurricular groups established yet. However, there is a college newspaper, the Scribe. It is a newspaper published on a semesteral basis, first published in June 2006. There is also a dormant debate club, Underwood Union, and an ensemble named Underwood Vision Ensemble.
[edit] Clubs
There are two sports clubs that exist at UIC. The basketball team called INSUFF, and the football (soccer) team called Underwood United. Underwood United will have its first game on April 2nd.
A band known as NO DODGE, was active since 2006. There are around 20 members, but not all perform at the same time. The band plays songs by other famous bands like Muse, and Fall Out Boy. NO DODGE is considered a rock group.
