it is a low-resolution screenshot from the Doctor Who episode "An Unearthly Child";
it is being used for identification and critical commentary on the episode, its role in the history of the programme, and the introduction of the character of the Doctor;
no more free alternative exists or can exist;
the use of the image in this article will in no way infringe on the BBC's copyright, or ability to market the programme or ancillary works.
