From an early (mid-century, I believe) version of the National Atlas.
Note: West Florida/ lower Louisiana area dates are incorrect and Alaska and Hawaii are not shown. See Image:National-atlas-1970-1810-loupurchase.png for area of Louisiana purchase in the southern region, shown by heavy black lines. Image:Us historic territories.png is another more detailed map.
Originally in jpg format but was converted to png because of information can be seen better with png than jpg.
