Talk:United States Ambassador to the United Nations
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
If you're not going add another column, such as president(s) served under/appointed by, then I suggest moving it to bullet point form to avoid the html. For example:
- James J. Wadsworth, 1960 - 1961
- Adlai E. Stevenson, 1961 - 1965
- Arthur J. Goldberg, 1965 - 1968
- Jiang Jiang Jiang Jiang, 2005 - 2009
Of more importance is the US President of the time, not the UN Secretary General, since it is the president who appoints the ambasador. --Jiang 03:06, 14 Mar 2004 (UTC)
It seems like it would be good to add information on how the ambassador can be appointed, and how long the appointement lasts. Here is some information, but it is only on recess appointments: http://www.cnn.com/interactive/allpolitics/0508/recess.appointments/frameset.exclude.html Insulanus 05:29, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
Didn't Representative Geraldine Anne Ferraro (D-NY) serve as a UN Ambassador for Bill Clinton. Shouldn't she be added?
