Unien

Unien is an online community project which was started in 2004. The project was originally created by Paul Taylor as a means of communication for various aspiring designers and artists.

Unien was originally created as a means of communication for aspiring artists and designers in 2004. The idea for such a community came after Paul Taylor (the founder) wanted a place thats was created by artists and designers and allowed public to freely discuss and share information of any sorts, without the restrictions that communities such as deviantArt put in place. Upon it's original release, Unien consisted of only a forum with a minimal design that utilised a black/red/white combination. The site ran for some months before Paul Taylor and the rest of the staff decided to close the site and upgrade to allow more features. The site has not been back online since.

The current state of Unien is unknown as the second incarnation of the community was due to be opened in 2005. No in 2006, the community is still not available to the public, but is still in development behind the curtains.

Various aspiring artists and designers from different backgrounds and locations have helped to manage and taken part in the development of Unien. Each providing their own take on the developing community.
