From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The United Nations Conference on the Illicit Trade in Small Arms and Light Weapons in All Its Aspects was held in New York in July 2001. It produced an agreed Programme of Action.[1]
A Review Conference was held in 2006 without agreement on a new programme of action. Continuing work under the 2001 programme is co-ordinated in Geneva, where the UN Conference on Disarmament is also based, by the Department for Disarmament Affairs.
